How do I add a note to my order?

After you've added items to your cart, proceed to the cart page to review your order. Just above the purple banner that says "VIEW CART," you'll find the option "CLICK HERE TO ADD NOTE." Click there to add your personal note or special instructions.

Can I send a LightSeed order directly as a gift?

Absolutely. LightSeed candles can be sent directly to the recipient, beautifully presented and ready to gift.

You can add a personal message for the recipient in the cart before checkout, and we’ll include it with your order.

If you’ve already placed your order and missed this step, simply email your message to hello@lightseed.co.nz as soon as possible after placing your order, and we’ll include a handwritten gift note with your order.

I’m sending my order as a gift — will an invoice be included?

No. We don’t include invoices or pricing information with orders unless requested, so your LightSeed can be sent directly to the recipient.

What kind of crystals are in my LightSeed Candle?

Each LightSeed candle features a carefully chosen selection of raw and tumbled crystals, selected for their unique qualities and energy to complement the fragrance, name and intention of each candle.

We hand-select our crystals in person from a local supplier and choose only crystals that are ethically sourced.

How does intention setting work?

Intention setting is about getting clear on what you want to call in, change or move towards — then choosing where to place your energy.

Light your LightSeed, name your intention and say it out loud. Use the affirmation or invocation included with your candle, or make the words entirely your own.

Speak it. Believe it. Feel it. Visualise it.

Setting an intention is only the beginning. Stay open to what shows up next — an idea, an opportunity, a conversation or a change in direction — and be willing to follow where it leads.

What sizes are LightSeed candles?

LightSeed candles are available in two sizes. Our Jar of Light contains 220g of natural soy wax, while our larger Deluxe candles contain a generous 470g of natural soy wax.

Each candle is hand-poured using natural soy wax and phthalate-free fragrance, blended with fragrance oils and essential oils. Our Deluxe candles are beautifully boxed and presented, making them ideal for gifting.

How much will delivery cost, and how long will it take?

New Zealand Shipping

Standard shipping is $12 nationwide, or FREE when you spend over $134.

Orders are dispatched within 24 hours, Monday–Friday, and sent via tracked NZ Post. Please allow up to 4 working days for delivery, although orders will often arrive sooner. 

I’m not happy with my LightSeed — can I return it?

Yes. If you’ve changed your mind, you can return or exchange your LightSeed within 14 days of receiving your order, provided it is unused, unburnt and in its original condition and packaging.

Can I have my LightSeed gift-wrapped?

Every LightSeed comes complimentary wrapped in our custom LightSeed tissue, ready to give.

You can also add a handwritten gift message at checkout.

Are the ingredients in LightSeed candles safe to use in my home?

LightSeed candles are hand-poured using natural soy wax, cotton wicks and high-quality fragrance blends containing fragrance oils and essential oils. Our fragrances comply with New Zealand EPA requirements and international IFRA standards, are 100% phthalate-free and contain no paraffin.

As with any candle, always burn your LightSeed with care and follow the safety instructions on the label at the base of every candle.

 

How long does a LightSeed candle burn?

Burn time depends on the candle size. Our Jar of Light contains 220g of natural soy wax and burns for up to 45 hours, while our larger Deluxe candles contain 470g of natural soy wax and burn for up to 70 hours when cared for correctly.

For the best burn, allow the wax to melt evenly to the edge of the vessel and trim the wick to approximately 6mm before each light.

Do I need to cleanse the crystals before use?

No. The crystals in every LightSeed are cleansed with the sound and vibration of a singing bowl before leaving our North Canterbury studio, ready to become part of your own ritual.

Of course, if cleansing your crystals is already part of your practice, you can absolutely make the ritual your own.

Are LightSeed candles made in New Zealand?

Yes. Every LightSeed candle is hand-poured, finished and cured by founder Kaylene Parkinson in our North Canterbury studio.

What is the purpose of a LightSeed candle?

Sometimes it’s simply to make your space smell beautiful. And sometimes, lighting one becomes something more.

LightSeed candles are created around intentions such as love, protection, clarity, abundance and remembrance — bringing together fragrance, crystals and ritual in a way that can mean something different to everyone.

Light it for the scent. The atmosphere. Someone you love. Something you’re calling in. Or simply because you feel like it.

The meaning is yours.
